Circulatory Disorders
Circulatory Disorders can include everything high blood pressure to blood clots and vascular inflammation. No matter the concern, we treat a wide range of circulatory issues that can affect your pet’s overall health and energy.
Common conditions include:
High blood pressure (hypertension) - often linked to kidney or hormonal issues
Blood clots - can block blood flow
Heartworm disease - a parasite that lives in the heart and lungs
Vasculitis - inflammation of blood vessels, can be caused by the immune system
Congestive heart failure - when the heart can’t pump blood effectively, leading to fluid buildup
Diagnostics depend on the condition and may include: blood pressure checks, X-rays and ultrasounds, electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG), and blood tests.
Treatment may include medications, dewormers, anti-inflammatories or immunosuppressants, fluid therapy, or other interventional procedures.
With early diagnosis and the right care, many pets with circulatory issues can bounce back and enjoy a great life.
