Georgina Marquez, DACVIM

Dr. Georgina Marquez, Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and board-certified small animal specialist, provides expert care at Canyon Hills. With her advanced skills, she performs specialized procedures such as ultrasounds, CT scans, fiber optic exams, and echocardiograms—ensuring your pet receives exceptional treatment all in one location.

Dr. Marquez has special interest in both disorders of the urinary system and diseases of the kidneys. She is a member of the American Society of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology.

A dedicated veterinarian, she has treated thousands of pets since moving to Orange County in 1994 after her UC Davis residency. Living in Anaheim Hills since 2003, she stays active in the veterinary community and has served as SCVMA president. At home, she enjoys time with her children, Rebecca and Chase, along with her dog, Leon, and cat, Sophie.

Dr. Marquez is also the proud owner of Orange Olive Animal Hospital, a general medicine practice serving the city of Orange and its surrounding areas.

Bruce Bauersfeld, DVM

Honored as a “Distinguished Alumni of the Year” by Ohio State University and former owner of Dover Shores Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Bauersfeld (aka Dr. B) is dedicated to keeping pets healthy. Check out his YouTube channel for expert insights!

Dr. B prioritizes a fear-free veterinary experience, ensuring pets and their owners feel comfortable. He believes in educating and involving pet parents in every step of their pet’s care. Recognizing that every pet is unique—even with the same diagnosis—he tailors treatments to their individual needs, partnering with owners to help furry friends thrive.

    HOSPITAL MANAGER

    Chase’s passion and commitment make him an invaluable member of the leadership and financial operations team.

    Chase enjoys working on his car and traveling. He enjoys festivals and going to shows. An avid traveler, he would love to visit anywhere he hasn’t been before.

  • Lori, RVT

    TECH SUPERVISOR

    With over 30 years of experience, Lead Technician Lori (RVT) provides exceptional care to all her patients. She honed her skills at VCA Animal Specialty Group and Veterinary Medical & Surgical Group.

    At home, she enjoys life with her three kids, partner Mel, and beloved pets—two cats, Skeeter and Gamora, and a Yorkie named Fury. A comic book movie fan, she especially loves Superman and Superwoman.

    VETERINARY ASSISTANT

    Veterinary assistant Alex has been a valued member of the team since 2016. Versatile and skilled, he supports doctors and technicians, assists clients, and is the team's trusted handyman—all while keeping everyone entertained with his quick wit.

    Alex attended Santiago Canyon College and has a deep love for animals, especially his Brittany Spaniel, Reggie.

    VETERINARY ASSISTANT

    With 20 years in the veterinary field, William brings a wealth of experience. He studied pre-vet at Pierce College before serving in the Marine Corps as a combat medic, treating both marines and military working dogs overseas.

    After his honorable discharge, William specialized in orthopedics, internal medicine, and cardiology. He is also a certified ONCURA sonographer. William enjoys hiking, the beach, and concerts accompanied by his beloved pug, Luke, and morkie, Princess Leia.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

    Since joining the team in 2015, April has been an essential customer service representative, providing expert care to pet owners. She is studying Veterinary Technology at Mt. San Antonio and has gained practical experience through externships at Veterinary Cancer Group, Yorba Regional, and Inland Valley Humane Society.

    April enjoys cosplay, crafting costumes inspired by various shows and movies, and spending time with her Pomeranians—Blu, Tippy, Rollie Pollie, Princess, Ivory, and Guzzler.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

    Jasmine has been a warm and welcoming presence on our customer representative team since 2018, bringing comfort to both pets and their owners with her bright smile. She is currently studying veterinary technology at Mt. San Antonio College, working toward her goal of becoming a veterinarian.

    At home, she shares her life with the three Z’s—Zeus, a Maltese, and her two orange cats, Zeke and Ziggy.

    Jose is a dedicated Kennel Manager who ensures every pet receives the care, attention, and exercise they need. His passion for animal welfare drives his commitment to creating a safe and comfortable environment.

    Energetic and enthusiastic, Jose is a sports fan who enjoys attending live concerts. He shares his life with two dogs, Bailey and April, and two cats, Obi Wan and Weasley. Jose’s dedication to animals make him an essential part of the team.

    Kayla is a dedicated Kennel Attendant who ensures every pet receives the highest level of care. She takes pride in her work, providing attentive support, exercise, and comfort to the animals she cares for.

    Kayla is an accomplished intercollegiate water polo player. She enjoys spending time at the beach and discovering new sushi spots with friends. She cherishes her beloved cat, Kitty. Her passion for animals, strong work ethic, and adventurous nature make her a valuable team member.

    Daniel is a kind and empathetic kennel attendant who takes great care of animals. With a gentle touch and calming presence, he makes sure each dog and cat feels safe and loved. His skills in bathing, feeding, and playing help him meet the animals' needs even before they show them.

    Often seen kneeling on the floor, Daniel engages with pets through calming interactions and active play, creating a space that builds trust and comfort until they find their forever homes.

    In his free time, Eric embraces the thrill and freedom of skateboarding. He shares his home with his beloved pitbull, Bubba, and his cat, Hamilton. His thoughtful nature, passion for animals, and active lifestyle make him a vital part of the team.
